ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in creation/update of calibration procedures and instructions
• Make recommendations on the optimal number and type of devices/equipment and their replacement
• Write Scope of Work for services and instruments per Safran standards
• In the event of a problem, contact the Quality Manager concerned, if needed, and propose the shutdown or restricted use of a measurement device and/or process
• Knowledgeable on setup and application of process instruments
• Support the PS3.4 Site Process Focal on the analysis of KPI data for corporate consolidation.
• Provide assistance for the renewal of specific accreditations and customer approvals
• Support operational sectors and conduct technical appraisals as requested to provide them with the factual data they need. Identify, recommend and implement areas for improvement.
• Lead actions to ensure standard method for data entry is followed in the Calibration Software
• Notify Planning and Scheduling of upcoming Calibration activities by creating work orders in CMMS.
• Conduct and report on statistical tests to validate best devices for a specific application
• Contribute to training in metrology and measurement methods
• Train others on Electrical & Controls Drawings
• Participate in budgetary preparation, tracking and analysis
• Manage area to 5S Level 4 Standard or higher
• Perform other related duties, as required

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL SCOPE OF POSITION
• Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment
• Subjected to inside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils and other related industrial hazards
• Potential to work in/near electro-magnetic fields created by high temperature induction furnaces
• Must demonstrate the physical capacity to meet the demands of the "Light" Job Placement Assessment (JPA) as administered by St. Elizabeth Business Health Services
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
• High School diploma or equivalent/GED
• Five or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance or quality environment
• Proficient use of word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word, Excel)
• Proficiency with a Computerized Calibration Management Software.
• Proficiency with a Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
• Proficiency with technical and process standards and drawings, technology of all process and dimensional devices.
