The successful candidate will work onsite at our state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of Garden City. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients, ensuring clinical guidelines and best practices are followed.
• Provide hands-on therapy to patients, utilizing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities under the direct supervision of a physical therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on proper exercise techniques, self-care strategies, and activities to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and document progress, adjustments, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and nursing staff, to deliver cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
• Implement specialized therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy when appropriate to alleviate discomfort and promote healing.
• Participate in occupational health initiatives aimed at improving employee wellness and productivity within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist Assistant will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors facing various orthopedic, neurological, and surgical rehabilitation needs. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent field is required.
• Hold a current and active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) state license.

• Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
