Full job description
Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be an integral part of the production support team, driving continuous improvement, process optimization, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach to engineering challenges, aligning seamlessly with the organization’s commitment to innovation and safety.
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Mebane, North Carolina
Pay Range: $52
What's the Job?
- Develop methods, tooling, and techniques to reduce setup and changeover times for manufacturing equipment.
- Modify manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, and cost efficiency, implementing design changes as needed.
- Manage capital projects, including equipment specification, installation, and coordination with outside contractors.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen activities, and document results to track progress.
- Collaborate across departments to identify process shortcomings and implement effective solutions using established change management practices.
What's Needed?
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical and/or Industrial Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and automation.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with Lean Enterprise principles and engineering solutions development.
- Proficiency with computer tools such as MS Word, Excel, MS Project, MfgPro, and Kronos.
