Full job description
Skilled Trades Partners is seeking experienced Electrical Apprentices for commercial and light industrial projects. This position is ideal for apprentices with 2–4 years of electrical construction experience who want to strengthen their skills and advance toward becoming Journeyman Electricians.
Responsibilities
- Install conduit, cable tray, wiring, lighting, panels, devices, and electrical equipment.
- Bend and install EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit.
- Pull wire and cable using proper methods and equipment.
- Assist with electrical terminations and basic troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications.
- Safely operate multimeters, continuity testers, hand tools, and power tools.
- Follow OSHA standards, company safety procedures, and jobsite requirements.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and accurately complete required documentation.
- Work effectively with supervisors, journeymen, apprentices, customers, and other trades.
Qualifications
- OSHA 10 Construction certification required.
- 2–4 years of electrical construction experience.
- Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code.
- Experience with commercial or light industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read a tape measure, perform basic math, and interpret electrical drawings.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Willingness to work overtime or travel when projects require it.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders, scaffolds, or aerial lifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in an apprenticeship program in good standing.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Relevant equipment certifications.
