Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - PCA, surgical drains, wound care, telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation; Cardizem/Amiodarone gtt experience will accept without, but must be comfortable to learn.

Required Credentials: - ASN / BSN

Unit Details: - General medical patients; some cardiac, pneumonia, UTI, chest pain, and fluid overload. - Telemetry monitors on the unit; no monitors in patient rooms. RNs are responsible for reading/interpreting strips during shift. - Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell. Unit-specific equipment/care includes PCAs, trachs, and complex wound care. - RNs start their own IVs. Phlebotomy is available for peripheral blood draws. - CNA support for vital signs, blood glucose checks, hourly safety rounds, and ADLs; receptionist/HUC support. - Free Parking

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - 50% holiday requirement. - No on-call.

Floating Requirements: - Could float to any adult unit within scope of practice at the hospital.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
