DVM Student Externship

Animal Medical Center is a well-established, progressive, fast-paced, two doctor companion animal practice in Hernando, MS, with an additional location in neighboring Senatobia, MS. We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including preventative care, surgery, dentistry, reproductive procedures, in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, and ultrasonography, in a clean, newly remodeled location.

Hernando is a growing community with a small-town feel.  Many individuals and families find it the perfect place to call home due to its beauty, rich history, available activities for families and children, top-notch school system, quality housing and neighborhoods, low taxes, and convenient location to larger, more metropolitan areas such as Memphis, TN.  

DeSoto County School District is the largest public school district in the state, ranking above the average in achievement.  Hernando City Schools, as well as the other nearby schools within the district, offer a variety of sports, arts programs, and AP classes.  The community and town square is bustling with music festivals, parades, theatre arts, a thriving farmers’ market, and activities year ‘round.

• Must be a 4th year DVM Veterinary Student from an AVMA Accredited Institution at the time of the externship, 3rd years applying for next year's clinical rotations will be considered.
