Medical Assistant – Physician Practices (CPE)
The Medical Assistant supports providers by ensuring efficient patient flow and maintaining high standards of care. This role performs a wide range of clinical and administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to measuring and recording vital signs, collecting specimens, administering injections, answering phones, maintaining provider schedules, ordering supplies, and completing other assigned administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers before and during patient examinations to ensure quality care and patient safety
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient office operations
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and privacy policies, including strict confidentiality of patient information
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience: One to three years of relevant experience
- Certification: Certified Medical Assistant for designated practices; AHA CPR certification required for designated practices
