Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Special Requests Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. RTO must be requested upfront. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.

Unit Details Common diagnoses/patient population include total knees, total hips, shoulder replacements, COPD, diabetes, wounds, IV infusions, dementia, oncology, hip and ankle fractures, sepsis, pneumonia, cholelithiasis, ambulatory dysfunction, appendicitis, acute respiratory distress, CHF, and alcohol/drug abuse. Common drips include heparin, IV antibiotics, antithrombics, and narcotics. Primary patient population is predominantly Caucasian and low- to middle-income; some patients are homeless and have mental health and/or addiction history.

Shift & Scheduling Self-scheduling. Every third weekend; for nights, Friday and Saturday are considered the weekend.

Floating Requirements Will float to PCU and McDermott (behavioral health).
