Position Overview
Med Lake Chiropractic and Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team in Ventura, California. This full-time role is primarily onsite and involves collaborating closely with licensed physical therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from various orthopedic conditions.

Work Environment
As a Physical Therapist Assistant working in our hospital setting, you will engage in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and collaboration are essential. Our facility is designed with the utmost focus on patient comfort and recovery, featuring modern rehabilitation areas and the latest equipment. You will work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while supporting patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Executing treatment plans designed by licensed physical therapists, ensuring interventions align with each patient's recovery goals.
- Setting up and maintaining therapy equipment, ensuring the treatment areas are clean, safe, and well-prepared for sessions.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress throughout treatment sessions, providing vital information and feedback to the therapy team to inform ongoing care strategies.
- Assisting with patient intake, scheduling appointments, and contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the clinic.
- Engaging and educating patients on exercises, home care routines, and wellness strategies to optimize their recovery journey.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a critical role in helping these patients regain mobility, strength, and confidence while providing empathetic support throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in California.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an outpatient or similar therapeutic setting.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be advantageous:
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient tracking.
- Experience in utilizing manual therapy techniques to enhance treatment protocols.
- Familiarity with orthopedic rehabilitation practices and protocols.
Compensation and Benefits
