Job Description

Location: 15 Skyland Inn Drive, Arden, NC

Shift: PRN Days

  • Monitors and manages daily workflow, including patient communication, transportation, and discharge. 

  • Follows infection control standards and handles pharmaceutical waste according to training.

  • Participates in data collection and performance improvement projects.

  • Performs quality assurance on imaging equipment and report any issues promptly.

  • Performs ultrasound imaging exams on patients of all age groups, ensuring high-quality results.

  • Operates specific imaging equipment proficiently and adhere to departmental policies and procedures. 

  • Educates and trains new technologists and students on imaging procedures and equipment use.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and to demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. [Required]

  • Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages such as IDX, Radworks, Current PACS application. [Required]

  • Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures. [Required]

  • Maintain responsibility for all continuing and annual education. [Required]

  • Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures. [Required]


Education:

  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

  • Technical/Vocational School [Required]


Field of Study:

  • Technical/Vocational School satisfactory completion of approved medical sonography program [Required]


Work Experience:

  • 1+ year of experience in a hospital or private practice environment [Required]


Additional Information:

  • Technical/Vocational School satisfactory completion of approved medical sonography program [Required]


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) [Preferred]

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
