The Medical Assistant 2 is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. Typically work on semi-routine assignments.

  • We will require full COVID vaccination for this job as we are a healthcare company committed to putting health and safety first for our members, patients, associates and the communities we serve. This job must be in the office and requires close personal interaction with patients. You will not be able to social distance.
  • If progressed to offer, the law will require you to provide proof of full vaccination where it allows. We will consider medical and religious exemptions on a case by case basis. Candidates should submit requests for these exemptions at least 2 weeks prior to their scheduled first day of work.
  • New hires have until January 14, 2022 to become fully vaccinated


What will you be doing?

The Certified Medical Assistant performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system. They also take vital signs, give injections, perform diagnostic tests, collect specimens, draw blood, sterilize and clean equipment, and maintain examination rooms at an outpatient care site.



Collaborate closely with Physicians and Nurses. Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.

Required

  • Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB


Preferred

  • Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)
  • Phlebotomy experience• Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 1+ years MA experience
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication

Work Schedule:

  • Scheduled 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
  • Schedule may change as per center needs

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$43,000 - $56,200 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
