Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Hawaii license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medefis Program - Hawaii Health Systems Corp - East Region.

Additional Details:

References must be from the 2 most recent places of employment.

Required Skills/Experience: Strong work experience in pre/postoperative nursing, including abdominal surgeries (lap chole/appy), mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, and drains.

Unit Details: Adult surgical unit. Focus on surgical pre/postoperative care. Uses vital signs machines, IV and PCA pumps, WOWs/EMR charting, and Pyxis.

Shift & Scheduling: No on-call requirement. Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends. Holidays as required.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
