Full job description
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Shipping/Receiving team member to join their team. As a Shipping/Receiving professional, you will be part of the logistics department supporting the overall material flow and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Shipping/Receiving
Location: Milwaukie, OR
Pay Rate: $20.75/hour
Shift: Monday - Friday; 7:00AM - 3:30PM
What's the Job?
- Ensure material flow for assembly cells, WIP markets, and machining cells across the plant.
- Replenish parts in workstations using a tugger cart and deliver materials to the proper inventory locations.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and safety programs, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Inspect equipment and escalate safety issues to supervisors as necessary.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and identify opportunities to enhance processes.
What's Needed?
- High school/GED completion.
- Previous receiving experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of proper use of pallet jacks, forklifts, and hoists (training/certification available).
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral procedures/instructions.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
