Opportunity:

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job Details:

  • Full-time coverage with 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a 3-6 month assignment with possible extension

  • Vacation coverage option available with 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; schedule discussed with Chief CRNA

  • No CRNA call required; occasional late stays may be needed but are not required

  • Float between three facilities: DuBois, Clearfield, and Brookville

  • Work within a team of 4 anesthesiologists per day and 15-18 CRNAs per day; CRNAs work under anesthesiologist medical direction at no more than a 4:1 ratio

  • Practice settings include 11 ORs, 2 hospital GI suites, 3 GI suites at a CRNA-led endoscopy center, bronchoscopy lab, and cath lab

  • EMR/Charting Software: Cerner

  • Approximately 40 anesthesia cases per day including endoscopy; individual CRNA volume varies by assignment (examples: 10-15 GI cases, 6-8 cystoscopies, or 3-4 general cases)

  • Procedures include general, ENT with peds, GYN, OB, plastics, endoscopy, urology, ortho, vascular, cardiothoracic, and neuro; vascular, neuro, and thoracic experience preferred

  • OB is optional; opportunity to perform regional blocks and epidurals if desired

  • Adult and pediatric cases; pediatric experience preferred but not required

  • Required certifications: NBCRNA, ACLS, BLS

  • Pennsylvania state license required

  • 1-2 years of experience preferred
