Material Shipper/Handler (DIRECT HIRE) - 1st Shift - $20.22

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and logistics industry, is seeking a Material Shipper/Handler to join their team. As a Material Shipper/Handler, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. This is a direct hire opportunity with benefits.

Job Title: Material Shipper/Handler (DIRECT HIRE)
Location: Akron, NY
Pay Range: $20.22 and move to $22.29 after a year
Shift: 1st Shift (7am-330pm) Monday-Friday

What's the Job?

• Receive, identify, store, and ship incoming and outgoing parts, assemblies, and materials following established procedures.
• Document and record all transactions accurately using shipping and receiving documents and menus.
• Operate computers, printers, labelers, and software to process domestic and international shipments.
• Work from shipping orders, requisitions, and packing lists, weighing, labeling, and marking items as needed.
• Use material handling equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and hoists to load and unload trucks and containers safely.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating forklift trucks and pendant cranes.
• At least two years of warehouse experience.
• Ability to operate scales, saws, and other tools as required.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment.
