Breast Sonographer

Wellstar is seeking a PRN Breast Sonographer to perform high-quality breast ultrasound imaging in a patient-centered environment. In this role, you will complete diagnostic and interventional breast ultrasound exams according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety. You will prepare and position patients, clearly explain procedures, and provide compassionate support throughout their visit. Responsibilities include operating and caring for ultrasound equipment, documenting exams in EMR/PACS, and collaborating closely with radiologists, technologists, nursing, and support staff. You will follow all infection control, regulatory, and safety standards while assisting with urgent or complex cases. As part of a collaborative and inclusive team, you will have opportunities for ongoing education, skill development, and participation in quality improvement initiatives that enhance breast imaging services and community health outcomes.
