Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2050 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Florida license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

Required Skills/Experience: - At least 1 prior travel assignment required. - Phlebotomy and IV start skills required. - Must be able to read cardiac rhythms.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Med-Surg/Telemetry background preferred over Stepdown/PCU.

Required Credentials: - EKG test required.

Special Requests: - No travel pairs for Tele units. - No holiday RTO or more than 7 consecutive days of RTO.

Unit Details: - Short-stay observation telemetry unit focused on cardiac and other observation patients. - May care for COVID-19 patients, if needed. - Adult patients 18+ with chest pain, TIA, dehydration, post-cardiac procedures (pacer, EPS, ablation, Watchman), anemia, CHF/COPD exacerbation, and stable arrhythmias. - Handles non-titrating Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Primacor, Natrecor, and Dopamine drips; post-cardiac procedure bleed management. - Uses Cerner, Pyxis, Hospira Plum 360 IV pumps, portable Spacelabs telemetry boxes, Ohio portable suction machines, and centralized cardiac monitoring.

Shift & Scheduling: - Modified self-scheduling via Opti Link. - Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week schedule. - Summer holidays are shared between staff and travelers. - Winter holidays: 3 out of 5 winter holidays, worst case scenario.

Floating Requirements: - Will float to other Med-Surg or Med-Surg/Telemetry units as needed. - All RNs participate in the float rotation so travelers do not float as frequently; currently floating is as needed.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
