Description  

As a Global Program Leader in the Enterprise Project Management Office, your responsibilities will focus on successfully executing enterprise wide programs through planning, implementing, and overseeing cross functional and enterprise-wide value creation initiatives across the organization.  You play a critical role in communicating progress and maintaining visibility with regular updates across the key business stakeholders and to the Copeland executive team. You are the connection point between the business, global program teams, and the internal communications team to ensure holistic change communication.  You are a self-starter who enjoys working in a team and working in a matrix environment. 

This role is primarily based out of our St. Louis, MO or Sidney, OH office and is open to hybrid remote work.

The Enterprise PMO team is a trusted thought leader and partner to the executive leadership team in the development, prioritization, and oversight of our global business programming, working cross-functionally across the business to ensure attainment of our near and long-term strategic objectives and goals.

The Enterprise PMO team is comprised of a focused team of program management experts, responsible for program and project delivery.  The team is high performing, high energy, highly collaborative, and has strong relationships with the global business. 

As the Global Director Enterprise PMO, you will:

  • Serve as a single point of contact business process owner for standard project management processes across multiple project types
  • Mature project leaders within the businesses and align to industry best practices and create standard work
  • Facilitate and teach lean initiatives such as VSM, Structure Problem solving- supporting our Copeland Business System Organization
  • Support global cross functional team management while building trusting transparent relationships
  • Deliver value creation metrics through assigned program leadership
  • Comfortable with crucial conversations and able to manage conflict, but empowered escalate issues via governance process when they cannot be locally resolved
  • Transparent communication on program progress, risks, escalations to all levels in the organization

Required education, experiences & skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading global cross functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in leading lean/ operational excellence initiatives
  • Experience with vendor management, procurement and supporting BOM optimization
  • High level of emotional intelligence, influencing skills, and communication skills to enable collaboration with a variety of key stakeholders including senior executive stakeholders
  • 7+ years of experience in Project Management
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, data analysis, critical thinking, business analysis and organizational skills
  • You have a proven track record in building cross-functional relationships with ability to influence others across different levels within the organization
  • You have strong facilitation, analytical and presentation skills with a proven track record in breaking down complex, ambiguous business problems into structured approaches and actions
  • You demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills in your work with senior executives across various geographies
  • You excel in project management, problem solving, verbal and written communication
  • You have passion for building new capabilities and functions from ground-up
  • You are flexible and highly resilient to change and ambiguity
  • You are entrepreneurial, self-starter and results driven with ability to work independently with limited information
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is ethical
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business (MBA, PMP, PgMP, Agile Scrum, LEAN Six Sigma, ITIL, and/or OCM certification an asset)

About our Location  

The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the air conditioning and cold chain businesses. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof, there are many opportunities for advancement within the Sidney location


Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
