What's in it for you:

Performs all types of mechanical installation and repair service for the facility utilities and machinery in the plant, participates in the maintenance, troubleshooting, replacement, repair, and testing of mechanical equipment and hydraulic circuits. Fabricate shop equipment utilizing shears, drills, and welders. 

What you will do:

  • Installs mechanical systems, fabricate production carts & fixtures, troubleshoot and repair shop equipment and systems according to national and local codes.   

  • Examines, installs, and maintains various mechanical systems and make recommendations for new equipment or improvements.   

  • Completion of preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.   

  • Typically works alone and reports to the maintenance supervisor   

  • Communicates to all departments regarding any implications for maintenance work    

  • Communicates with a computer to manufacturers, suppliers or maintenance equipment, and external parties.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial or facilities maintenance technical school certification in a related field accepted in-lieu of experience   

  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, mechanical drawings and prints.    

  • Working knowledge of mechanical & hydraulic systems, diagrams and test instruments with various pressures.    

  • Knowledge of other maintenance tasks, such as electrical preventative maintenance and repairs, lock-out/tagout, disconnecting and removing motors and VFD’s, IO cards, PLCs, etc.    

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office    

  • Ability to provide applicable certifications or technical school degrees   

  • Must be able to MIG Weld - proof of training or experience required   

  • Experience with Salvagnini punching and forming equipment is a plus
