Surgical Technologist Specialist | Labor & Delivery | Full-time | Variable (3-12's)

Overview: Assist as a member of the surgical team who works with the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist delivering direct patient care before, during and after surgery. The technologist specialist functions as an instrument assistant and may also function as a circulating assistant under supervision of a registered nurse. Instruct and supervise orientees in sterile technique, procedures, anatomy, etc. Responsibilities:

In this role the Surgical Technologist will perform the following job duties:

• Assist as a member of the surgical team who works with the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist delivering direct patient care before, during and after surgery.
• Function as an instrument assistant and may also function as a circulating assistant under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Instruct and supervise orientees in sterile technique, procedures, anatomy, etc.

Hours: 7:00pm-7:00am

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Required: Graduate of a recognized surgical technologist program.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Required: AST (Association of Surgical Technologists) or NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) certification maintained.
