Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2260 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Draeger Vent experience required. Teaching hospital experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: NICU experience is preferred but not required. Avea Vent experience preferred.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Any additional RTO requested after offer acceptance will not be approved. A 26-week assignment is available; 13 weeks will be accepted.

Unit Details: Patient population includes neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatric patients, adults, and geriatric patients. The unit uses Draeger and Avea ventilators. Travelers may be asked to orient students or new hires if needed.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Floating Requirements: Will float between Bridgeport Hospital and Milford campuses as needed. Travelers should expect to rotate through all areas of the hospital, including the NICU and pediatric units. The frequency of floating is dependent on census and staffing needs at the time, so while it may vary, staff must be prepared to support all units as needed.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027, 01/18/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027, 09/06/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• CPFT (Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
