Full job description

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and precision metal parts, is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be part of the Production Department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist

Location: Lenexa, KS

Pay Range: Level II - $28-30/hour or Level III - $31-35/hour

Shift: 6am - 3:30pm

What's the Job?

  • Operate machine tools such as saws, lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce metal parts.
  • Review blueprints or specifications to ensure accurate production.
  • Calculate cutting or boring positions using measuring devices.
  • Monitor and control feed rate and speed for precision manufacturing.
  • Maintain safety standards and proper use of protective equipment.

What's Needed?

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of Machinist or Mechanical Assembler experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tapes.
  • Knowledge of machine operation, setup, and maintenance.
  • Criminal background check, drug screening, and compliance with safety protocols.
