What You'll Do

Responsible for performing laboratory tests and analysis to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

About Us - Laboratory 

  • Freeman West results over 3.53 million tests a year and issues over 550 units of blood each month

  • Other Labs at Freeman include the Cornell Beshore Cancer Institute Lab and Freeman Neosho Laboratory  

  • Draw stations are located inside Freeman East, the Bentlage Building and the Women’s Pavilion  

  • There are over 140 employees in the Labs at Freeman and all of them are highly talented and patient-centric individuals

Schedule

Full-Time, Evening Shift

Requirements

  • Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Technologist (MT) by a nationally recognized Accreditation Agency

  • High Complexity Testing requirement: Earned Associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology. (Equivalency: 60 sem hrs with adequate course break-down AND training or experience).

  • High school graduates with appropriate training who are performing high complexity testing on or before 4/25/95, will continue to qualify.

  • Must meet CLIA 88 standards.

  • Or if prior to 4/24/95, have graduated from a medical laboratory school that has been approved or have completed a 50-week military training course.
