Developmental Preschool Teacher

Hourly Rate: $40.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience and assignment

Location: Maricopa, AZ
Onsite – School Setting
Full-Time

Position Summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a full-time Developmental Preschool Teacher to support students within Maricopa Unified School District in Maricopa, Arizona.

The Developmental Preschool Teacher provides developmentally appropriate instruction and individualized support to preschool-aged students in an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. This role works collaboratively with families, paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and other members of the educational team to support students’ academic, communication, social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental growth.

The teacher will help create a structured, engaging learning environment while implementing individualized educational goals and developmentally appropriate instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

Schedule / Shift

  • Shift details: Full-time, school-day schedule
  • Location: In-person in Maricopa, AZ
  • Setting: Developmental Preschool

Key Duties

  • Provide developmentally appropriate instruction to preschool-aged students based on individual learning and developmental needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational goals and student progress
  • Create a structured, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that promotes independence, communication, social-emotional development, and school readiness
  • Implement appropriate accommodations, modifications, instructional strategies, and behavioral supports based on student needs
  • Collect and document student progress data to guide instructional decisions
  • Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school psychologists, paraprofessionals, administrators, and other members of the educational team
  • Participate in educational planning meetings and communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
  • Provide direction and support to classroom paraprofessionals or instructional assistants as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, educational records, and required compliance paperwork
  • Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and other required school activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by school or district administration

Requirements

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Valid Arizona Early Childhood teaching certification appropriate for the assignment
  • Valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card, as required by the district
  • Additional district-required credentials or clearances must be obtained and maintained throughout the assignment

Skills

  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate instructional practices
  • Ability to individualize instruction based on students’ developmental and educational needs
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with families, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and district staff
  • Ability to maintain accurate student documentation and monitor developmental and educational progress
  • Ability to create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment for young children
