Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2610 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Qualivis Program - University of Virginia and no current placement allowed at Program: Qualivis Program - University of Virginia.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Peritoneal dialysis preferred. Previous Charge Experience: Preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: Unable to approve time off around Labor Day. Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away.

Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Receives patients from the Emergency Department, Medical ICU, clinics, outside hospitals, and nursing facilities. Cares for a wide range of medical diagnoses, including diabetes, sickle cell crisis, COPD exacerbations, ESRD with pulmonary hypertension, wounds, drains, and tubes. Includes telemetry and a wide variety of medical treatments and medication regimens. Daily interdisciplinary rounding with physician, RN, social work, case management, and pharmacy.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other weekend, must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays. Can approve 40 hours for time off.
