Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Float Pool experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Required Skills/Experience: - Travelers must have 2-3 years of experience. - Must be able to read telemetry strips. - Experience with drips required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Chest tube experience preferred.

Special Requests: - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: - High-acuity telemetry patient population including pneumonia, end-stage renal disease, post-cath lab patients, respiratory distress, CHF, and COPD. - Uses Philips telemetry; monitor tech present and RNs sign off on strips. - Common drips include amiodarone, cardizem, and heparin; these are non-titrating. - May care for patients on BiPAP or CPAP. - Primary care nursing with limited resources; tech coverage may be limited because techs may be pulled to sit. - At St. John’s Pleasant Valley ACU, patient ratios are 1:5 med-surg and 1:4 telemetry; travelers will not work DOU. - Common patient population at St. John’s Pleasant Valley includes post-surgical, ortho, and cardiac patients.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekends only: Friday-Sunday. - One major and one minor holiday required. - Self-scheduling is not guaranteed.

Floating Requirements: - Required to float to St. John’s Pleasant Valley, including telemetry or med-surg; may also float to 3 North, 2 South, or the ER to take MS/Tele holds. - At St. John’s Pleasant Valley ACU, floating is between med-surg and telemetry.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 2. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
