Job Description:
This position is a temporary casual position that will begin on September 21st and end December 1st.In conjunction with other team members administer vaccines within legal and professional standards. Responsible for coordination of care and coordinating necessary for an efficient and safe immunization program including responsibilities such as, but not limited to:• Administer vaccinations• Communicate and collaborate with interprofessional teams regarding patient care• Monitor, respond, and report changes in patient condition• Educate patients about disease prevention and health promotion with evidence-based information about the vaccine including potential side effects and dosing schedule• Maintain accurate patient medical recordsProvide patients with evidence-based information about vaccine safety, potential side effects, and the importance of immunization.Education Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
- BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
- Certified Medical Assistant
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 months from date of hire
Required to hold one of these licensure qualifications:
- Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing as an RN or LPN
- Current registration or certification as a medical assistant OR verifiable completion of a medical assistant program and must become certified within 1 year of date of hire. (Must pass certification within two attempts).
- Licensure as a Registered Pharmacist by the Minnesota State Board of Pharmacy or ability to become licensed within 4 weeks of starting date OR Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy or must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist-Intern. and actively pursuing licensure as a Registered Pharmacist by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy OR a 4th year Pharmacy Student and completion of ACPE accredited or MN Board of Pharmacy approved immunization delivery training program.
