TransForce is seeking 1 CDL-B Driver to support local delivery operations for Capital Lighting in Upper Marlboro, MD 20772.

CDL-B Driver Details:

  • Location: Upper Marlboro, MD 20772
  • Drivers Needed: 1
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Start Time: 4:30 AM
  • Pay: $25.00 per hour
  • Overtime: Time and a half after 40 hours
  • Route Type: Local
  • Freight: Wholesale electrical supplies
  • Handling: Touch freight
  • Equipment: Tractor-trailer / pallet jack
  • Flatbed: Drivers may occasionally be asked to operate a flatbed truck
  • Flatbed Experience: Not required
  • Training: Client will train drivers on proper strapping and cargo securement procedures
  • Experience: 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience

CDL-B Driver Minimum Requirements:

  • License: Valid CDL-B
  • Experience: At least 1 year of recent, relevant, and verifiable commercial driving experience
  • Ability to safely handle touch freight and operate a pallet jack
  • Willingness to learn proper flatbed cargo securement procedures
  • Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements

CDL-B Driver Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a CDL-B vehicle on assigned local delivery routes
  • Deliver wholesale electrical supplies to customers
  • Load and unload touch freight using a pallet jack
  • Occasionally operate a flatbed truck as needed
  • Properly strap and secure cargo following client training and safety procedures
  • Complete required vehicle inspections and delivery paperwork
  • Provide professional customer service during deliveries
