About the Role:

MSI is hiring a Shipping and Receiving to support efficient warehouse operations by accurately preparing, shipping, and receiving flooring materials. In this role, the Shipping and Receiving Associate reviews shipping orders using a tablet, verifies documentation, picks and palletizes products, and secures shipments for delivery. The position consists of approximately 60% manual labor and up to 40% forklift operation, depending on workload and business needs, while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment.


Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 07:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $18.75 to $21.75 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $54,400 and $70,700 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately pick, stack, and palletize flooring materials for shipment.
  • Secure outbound loads using shrink wrap to ensure safe transportation.
  • Review and interpret shipping orders to identify required products and transportation methods.
  • Verify shipping documentation for accuracy and maintain organized records.
  • Prepare and organize paperwork for outbound shipments.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight schedules to support efficient warehouse operations.
  • Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and provide loading instructions.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse while following company safety procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Proficient using tablets or iPads.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forklift experience preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of warehouse experience required.
  • Previous forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory handling, or material movement is a plus.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent experience required.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Forklift certification or hands-on forklift operating experience.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems or shipping software.
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation and freight coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
