Full job description
We’re different than most primary care providers. The Physician Assistant, Specialty is responsible for promoting and maintaining
health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
The Physician Assistant, Specialty incumbent must demonstrate the ability to
function both independently and in collaboration with other health care
This position may require participation in risk and
quality management programs, clinical meetings and other meetings.
The Physician Assistant, Specialty incumbent adheres to strict departmental
goals/objectives, standards of performance, regulatory compliance, quality
patient care compliance, and policies and procedures. a certified nurse practitioner in collaboration and consultation with a licensed
patient care team physician. Practices in accordance with a written or
Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and
long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; implementing physician directives.
* Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
* Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department
immunizations; discussing family planning;
wellness and health maintenance.
* Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and
Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
establishing personal
networks; Develops health care team staff by providing information, educational
opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
* Demonstrated record of consistently achieving clinical performance metrics in
medications, and follow-up on details of patient care
* Basic computer skills and some knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and Outlook, database, and presentation software
* Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to
Spoken and written fluency in English, bilingual a plus
* Minimum five (5) plus year experience working in a healthcare or specialty
Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant, appropriate state
The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time
