Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: RNs are required to be competent in reading Phillips telemetry strips.

Special Requests: Self-scheduling and block scheduling are available. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Shift & Scheduling: Full- and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule 6-9 weekend shifts per six-week schedule. Call or standby requirements are determined by the nurse manager. Clinicians must be in state during the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote.

Unit Details: Patient population includes stroke, spine, neuro trauma, and general medical-surgical patients. Common titratable or set-rate drips include analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control. Phillips telemetry is centrally monitored off the unit. Patients have moderate oxygen needs. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4/5 on days and 1:5/6 on nights.

Floating Requirements: May be asked to float into any other acuity level: ICU (taking low-acuity holds within skill set), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele; in an extreme need, may float within Zone 3 to OCH, LUH, SAH, or SAN. Floating is determined by the nurse manager and department needs.
