Fire Sprinkler Designer | San Diego, CA | $80K–$110K

Established fire protection contractor is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join a growing team supporting large-scale commercial and retrofit projects throughout the San Diego market.

This is a design-focused role working primarily on commercial and retrofit work — not multifamily — with strong project support and a steady pipeline of backlog.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design water-based fire sprinkler systems for commercial and retrofit projects
• Prepare layouts, shop drawings, and project submittals
• Perform hydraulic calculations and support permitting requirements
• Coordinate with PMs, field personnel, and customers to ensure successful project execution
• Review plans and ensure compliance with NFPA and local code requirements
• Assist with revisions and design coordination throughout project life cycle

What We’re Looking For:

• Fire sprinkler design experience within commercial construction
• NICET Level II or III in Water-Based Systems preferred
• Experience with AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD, Revit, or related design software
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and water-based fire protection systems
• Ability to manage deadlines and work within a collaborative team environment

Compensation:

• $80,000–$110,000 depending on experience and certification level
