Job Summary:
Supports the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to foster a safe and compliant workplace. Collaborates with colleagues to identify risks and recommend practical solutions that enhance operational safety. Applies working knowledge to monitor compliance and contribute to ongoing EHS improvement efforts. Communicates effectively with employees to encourage engagement in EHS initiatives. Enhances workplace efficiency by ensuring adherence to established EHS protocols and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducts routine and non-routine site inspections and risk assessments independently, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions.
Assists in the development and delivery of standard EHS training for staff.
Maintains accurate records of incidents, inspections, and compliance activities.
Supports investigations of incidents independently by gathering data and preparing reports.
Monitors the safe management of specific project strategies to ensure safe practices.
Communicates EHS policies and procedures to promote understanding and compliance.
Participates in team meetings to share insights and support safety initiatives.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or associates degree in environmental science, occupational health, safety management, a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
Work Experience:
2 - 4 years of experience in EHS roles within industrial, manufacturing, construction, or a related field required.
Certifications and Licenses:
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction training required.
First Aid (FA) certification, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification, or Naloxone Administration (Narcan) certification preferred.
Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC) certification preferred.
OSHA 500 preferred.
