Position Overview

Active Therapy Services is seeking dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to join our dynamic team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services as planned, delegated, and supervised by the licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with patients and their families, educating them on therapeutic activities and expected outcomes.
  • Document patient progress and treatment interventions in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care.
  • Implement infection control practices and standard precautions during patient care activities to prevent contamination.
  • Participate in mandatory continuing education and attend in-service programs to enhance professional development.
  • Utilize advanced technology, such as iPad documentation systems, to streamline record-keeping and facilitate communication.
  • Engage actively in clinical assignments that align with your strengths and competencies while advocating for the best patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work primarily with an elderly population in skilled nursing facilities. This includes assisting patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and various physical impairments. Qualifications

  • A valid and active Physical Therapist Assistant license.
