What We Offer:
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours), Pre-op schedule is 0615-1445, PACU schedule is 0730-1600. Rotating between the two areas so hours will vary depending on assignment for the day (preop vs PACU). Schedule will be known in advance. M-F, no weekends, no major holidays & no call! Occasional late coverage days assigned.
- Department: Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), preop/PACU opening.
- Location: Hawthorne Surgical Center, 1999 South Hawthorne Road, Winston Salem
- Unit Info: Some of the common procedures consist of Opthalmology, Pain & Podiatry. Will be cross trained to preop, phase I and phase II recovery.
- This position requires either preop/PACU, ICU, ED or critical care experience.

What You'll Do:- Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Experience: One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
- ACLS and PALS, preferred.
- Additional Skills Required: Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and ability to carry out the functions as stated in the NC nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient’s age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
