This 150-bed inpatient facility in Burlington, Iowa maintains the clinical resources and established protocols necessary to support interventional cardiology services on an on-site basis. The facility is structured to accommodate 24-hour call-based cardiac care delivery, with emergency privileges available and a support team that includes 1 interventional cardiologist, 2 general cardiologists, and 2 APPs. Two permanent interventional cardiologists are scheduled to join the team, providing additional clinical continuity for cardiac care delivery.

Clinical responsibilities include performing diagnostic catheterization and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), with Impella, IVUS, intra-aortic balloon pump, and Rotational Atherectomy (Rota) available for use. Emergency privileges are available as part of this assignment. Call coverage is a required component, and clinicians must maintain continuous availability to respond to inpatient cardiac cases and perform procedures as credentialed by the facility.
