Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2350 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is preferred.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required with any experience within the last 12 months.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to read telemetry.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - At least 1 completed traveler contract preferred; first-time travelers accepted. - Cardiology background preferred.

Required Credentials: - Associate degree or certificate.

Unit Details: - 4E Med/Surg Clinical Decision Unit. - Patient ratios: 1:5-6 nights; 1:4-5 days. - Patient population includes DM, CHF, DTs, falls with minimal injury, stroke rule-out, chest pain, pneumonia, and generalized weakness. - Common cases include Med/Surg, day surgery patients, ER admits, prostatectomy, lap appy, lap chole, and CBI. - Skills and treatments on the unit include IV placement, CBI, wound care, heparin gtt, Lasix gtt, post-cath care without interventions, TR bands, and NG tube placement.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Holiday rotation; holiday grouping schedule to come. - No call. - Scheduled hours may vary during orientation week and during holidays when the unit is closed.

Floating Requirements: - May float to Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and other like units as needed. - Floating to units and facilities is based on census and should not be outside the clinician’s clinical skills unless approved by the employee, unit manager, shift advisor, and SimpliFi.

9 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
