Dietitian
Come join us at St. Patrick's Manor! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, 303-bed, Short and Long-term care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. Located on lush, manicured lawns and gardens in Framingham, MA, we are just minutes from Route 9 for easy access to the Mass Pike.
We are seeking to hire a Registered Dietitian - Part-Time.
- $35 to $40 per hour based on skills and experience.
- 16 to 22.5 hours/week.
Registered Dietitian Qualifications:
- Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) registration through the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
- 2 years Clinical Nutrition experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of current best practices in medical nutrition therapy.
- Strong knowledge of State and Federal regulatory guidelines, MDS and standards impacting Clinical Nutrition department in Long-Term Care.
- Excellent client services, organization and communication skills are essential.
Registered Dietitian Job Summary:
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the nutritional care of residents in accordance with policy and regulations.
- Assess/Monitor the residents’ nutritional status and provides recommendations to clinical/medical staff.
- Educate residents, families and staff on nutritional concepts and diet modification.
- Work with other members of the team to ensure that modified texture or therapeutic diets are in compliance with the resident’s medical condition.
- Practice management by rounding.
- Participate in care conferences and the communication of nutritional updates to residents and representatives as needed.
- Complete resident nutritional assessments.
