Position Overview

Clinica Recovery LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team at our outpatient facility located in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. In this full-time role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement personalized rehabilitation programs, helping patients to regain mobility and independence through tailored treatment regimens. Work Environment

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work onsite at our hospital-based outpatient clinic, which fosters a collaborative atmosphere among healthcare professionals. The PTA will be part of a fast-paced setting, focusing on hands-on patient interactions and treatment sessions. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the execution of individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Perform appropriate therapeutic exercises, physical modalities, and functional training as directed by the supervising PT.
  • Monitor and document each patient’s progress meticulously, ensuring that outcomes are tracked and communicated effectively to the supervising PT.
  • Educate patients and their families on at-home exercise programs and self-care strategies to enhance recovery.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the interdisciplinary team to guarantee comprehensive, consistent care at every stage of the rehabilitation process.
  • Maintain updated patient records in compliance with clinic protocols and professional standards, assisting in achieving overall clinic efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will primarily work with a diverse patient population including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and geriatric-related ailments. Our clinic serves patients of all ages, and as such, the physical therapist assistant will need to employ a variety of therapy techniques suited to each patient's unique needs, enhancing their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Jersey.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited PTA program is required.
