Perinatal Sonographer

As a Perinatal Sonographer at Wellstar, you will provide advanced obstetric and perinatal ultrasound imaging for both routine and high-risk pregnancies within a leading not-for-profit health system. You will perform detailed fetal anatomy, growth, Doppler, and biophysical assessments following established protocols, ensuring accurate acquisition, measurement, and documentation of images in the EMR. Working in a collaborative, patient-focused environment, you will partner closely with maternal-fetal medicine specialists, obstetricians, and nurses to support timely diagnosis and care planning. You will educate and reassure patients and families, maintaining dignity, privacy, and cultural sensitivity. Responsibilities include equipment operation and quality control, adherence to ALARA and infection-prevention standards, participation in quality improvement and case review, and ongoing professional development. This role offers exposure to advanced imaging technology, complex perinatal cases, and clear pathways for growth within Wellstar’s expansive hospitals, clinics, and specialty centers across Georgia.
