This is a Technical Sales Manager position focused on developing and managing water treatment equipment and service contracts across the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan territory.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Prospect and develop customer accounts in heavy industrial sectors
- Account Management: Manage existing customer relationships and drive year-over-year growth
- Full Sales Cycle Management: Handle prospecting through contract negotiation and close
- Solution Development: Work with multi-disciplinary teams to create customer-focused water treatment solutions
- Strategic Planning: Create growth plans and forecast sales performance
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with services teams and other Veolia commercial teams.
Critical Requirements
Must Have:
- 5+ years in sales/relationship management with heavy industrial water/wastewater treatment customers
- Technical knowledge of water treatment technologies (RO, IX, EDI, UF, MBR, filtration, etc.)
- Understanding of heavy industry applications (power, chemicals, steel, paper, refining, food, beverage, manufacturing)
- Salesforce and Google Workspace proficiency
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Comfortable with ~35% domestic travel (primarily within OH, KY, IN, MI)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Strongly Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Experience with Strategic Selling methodology (Miller Heiman)
- Residence within the sales territory.
