Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1930 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - General Med/Tele skillset: basic cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, Foley insertion/management), PCA pumps. - Medication gtt management to include: heparin, blood products, IVF, cardiac drips.

Unit Details: - Complex GI surgeries including partial and total colectomy, bowel resections, anastomosis, Whipple, distal pancreatectomy/splenectomy, and liver resection; trauma overflow. - RN ratio 1:4-6; surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8. - No monitoring tech; nurses read monitors and respond. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Phillips monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays.

Floating Requirements: - Within region and scope of practice; will float to facilities within the assigned region as needed.

Special Requests: - RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
