Mid-Level Systems Integration Engineer (Linux, Unix, C)
Salary: $130,000 - +
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Labor Requirements:
- Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and developing and implementing corrective actions.
- Observe and interpreted visual outputs indicating the operational status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure.
- Translate user requests into technical diagnoses, then apply diagnoses to develop technical solutions to meet user needs.
- Develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal impact.
- Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.
Technical Skills Required:
- Strong Linux experience.
- Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management.
- Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers or network infrastructure.
- Experience setting up storage such as network attached storage.
- Experience implementing security best practices to include PKI certificate generation, deployment and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C.
Special Technical Skills Desired:
- Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience with SELinux and FIPS.
Minimum Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree plus 5-years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree plus 3-years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 7-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 9-years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
- Must have an IAT-I certification, such as Security+CE.
- Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming. Information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have experience in network or system administration.
- TS/SCI with Polygraph Required
