Please note we are actively recruiting for 2026/2027 roles, starting upon the launch of the new school year. We are reserving roles in a first-come first-serve manner, so apply now to get your foot in the door and secure your next role before the first day of school! Zen Educate partners with public and charter schools across various school districts to build stronger school communities. The Teacher Aide provides direct help to classroom teachers, contributing to an engaging learning environment. Key responsibilities include offering academic and behavioral support to K-12 students requiring additional assistance, helping maintain a structured classroom, and employing various methods to enrich student learning experiences. You will also support students with personal care or hygiene as needed.
Assist licensed staff in the classroom by helping implement academic adaptations and individualized education plans (IEPs).
Education:
~60 college credits or higher, OR one of the following:
~ A passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment (65% or higher on the Instructional Support test and 70% or higher on the Knowledge and Application test)
~ Language & Authorization:
Professional proficiency in English.
Work Authorization (Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance).
Prior experience working with children in a structured setting is an asset.
Additional physical requirements may be requested during your application process
Behavioral Technician or PCA experience working with children is an asset.
Past work experience in a school setting with children with special needs is an asset.
Pay: $20 - $21 per hour, paid weekly. (Pay: $22 - $23 per hour, paid weekly. (Schedule: Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 am - 3:00/4:30 pm (no weekend work).
