Full job description
The Office Manager plays a central role in supporting daily business operations and ensuring smooth coordination across procurement, logistics, inventory, and administrative functions. This position is critical as the organization strengthens its operational infrastructure and implements a new companywide computer system. The successful candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment while providing reliable support across multiple departments.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily office operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and well-coordinated business activities.
- Support procurement and purchasing processes, including placing orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate purchasing records.
- Assist with logistics and inventory-related tasks by coordinating materials, supplies, and equipment needed for manufacturing operations.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including data entry, document preparation, filing, and general clerical duties.
- Coordinate and support payroll processing activities to ensure accurate and timely submission of employee hours and related information.
- Use Microsoft Office and other business systems to create, update, and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and documentation.
- Work within ERP or inventory systems, such as NetSuite, to support inventory tracking, order management, and operational reporting.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external partners, providing responsive customer service and support.
- Identify operational issues and apply a proactive, problem-solving approach to improve processes and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing and operations teams to align office activities with production needs and timelines.
- Support the implementation and daily use of the new companywide computer system by learning its functions and assisting others with adoption.
- At least 3 years of experience in office management, administrative coordination, or operations support.
- A minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience, including working with vendors and managing orders.
- Familiarity with processing payroll and supporting related administrative tasks.
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry or a similar operational environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and other core applications.
- Experience using ERP systems, such as NetSuite, or other inventory management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Solid administrative, clerical, and office administration skills, including data entry and document management.
- Strong customer service orientation when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience providing administrative assistance in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Background supporting both office administration and operations teams in a manufacturing setting.
- Comfort working with new or evolving computer systems and contributing to process improvements.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
This role is 100% onsite and based in a manufacturing-oriented environment that relies on close coordination between office and operations teams. The position offers flexible start time options, including schedules of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, each including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break within the workday. You will work extensively with Microsoft Office, ERP systems such as NetSuite, and inventory-related tools as part of the daily workflow. The role is offered as a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for growth within the organization.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delanco, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
