Position Overview

Life Mission Nursing and Rehab is actively seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team in San Bernardino, California. Work Environment

This position is based onsite within a hospital environment in San Bernardino, California, a vibrant community known for its rich cultural tapestry and access to outdoor recreational activities. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology, ensuring that our team can deliver cutting-edge treatments. As a PTA in our hospital, you will work weekdays from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to provide effective and compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute customized treatment plans as directed by licensed physical therapists, engaging patients in hands-on care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other rehabilitation modalities.
  • Monitor patient progress throughout treatment sessions, making necessary adjustments to exercises and providing motivation to help patients achieve their recovery goals.
  • Educate patients on their treatment protocols, ensuring they understand the importance of each exercise and how they contribute to their recovery process.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress, treatment sessions, and any modifications to care plans, ensuring clear communication within the healthcare team.
  • Work collaboratively in a team setting, including regular consultations with physical therapists, physicians, and other allied health professionals to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse patient population includes individuals of all ages, ensuring you will encounter a wide variety of cases and rehabilitation needs. Your direct involvement will significantly impact their recovery journey, increasing their mobility and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
  • A valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in California or eligibility for licensure.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $180,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and malpractice coverage.
