Full job description
Extant Healthcare, in partnership with Research Medical Center, is seeking a Burn, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon to join our expanding Burn and Reconstructive Surgery Program in Kansas City, Missouri. Research Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and regional referral destination for complex burn care, providing comprehensive treatment for adult patients from across the Midwest.
This position offers the opportunity to join an established multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes in acute burn management, reconstruction, and rehabilitation, supported by a modern facility and advanced surgical resources.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients with acute and reconstructive burn injuries.
Participate in surgical management of burns, wound care, resuscitation, and long-term recovery.
Collaborate with trauma and critical care colleagues in a multidisciplinary environment.
Participate in burn and trauma call coverage, as well as clinic duties
Advance surgical practice through active involvement in quality improvement and clinical innovation efforts
Perform complex plastic and reconstructive surgeries with a focus on microvascular techniques
Qualifications
Board Certified in Plastic Surgery
Proven expertise in Burn Care and Reconstruction
Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Missouri.
