Work With The Best

We are building the premier outdoor living company in the country by creating a “family of family companies” across the nation. Now you can build your landscaping career with the best, working in one of our many company locations nationwide.  Learn from the top experts in the field and work on some of the country’s largest and most complex landscape projects.  Take advantage of opportunities to share and exchange best practices across our network.  The opportunities are endless.

Job Summary: Mariani Landscape seeks a dedicated Client Representative to be the primary point of contact for our maintenance clients. Since 1958, when Vito Mariani began serving Chicago's North Shore with a single truck and a commitment to impeccable landscaping, our clients have trusted us as partners for generations — and this role is central to keeping that trust alive. You will nurture client relationships from initial sale through ongoing weekly maintenance, drive new business, and increase department revenue by delivering exceptional customer service. You will manage client needs and requests, ensuring satisfaction and fostering the kind of long-term partnerships that have defined Mariani for over sixty years. Above all, you'll help bring our purpose to life: connecting people with nature in a way that inspires and transports them, one garden at a time.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain established sales volume by staying current with client needs, industry trends, and competitor activity; grow sales by following up on new leads and prospective clients.

  • Initiate and attend all preliminary and subsequent maintenance client presentations and meetings.

  • Conduct onsite visits and walkthroughs with clients to confirm their needs are being met.

  • Keep clients informed of relevant issues affecting their property and involve them in related decision-making.

  • Follow established sales processes, including the use of maintenance agreements and timely dissemination of information to administrative and production teams.

  • Serve as the single point of contact for all communication and correspondence with current and prospective clients.

  • Recommend and advise clients on additional services or property enhancements.

  • Oversee and guide weekly maintenance and enhancement work to ensure results exceed client expectations and reflect well on Mariani's reputation.

  • Assist Production Coordinators with job scheduling.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including client history, sales reports, and client contact lists.

  • Initiate and approve work orders and change orders needed to communicate with the maintenance department.

  • Prepare proposals, renewals, and contracts using standard templates.

  • Monitor the billing process and accounts receivable.

  • Coordinate with Crew Leaders to ensure client requests and information are carried out accurately.

  • Communicate with the Administrative Support, Accounting, Production Coordinator, and Crew Leader teams as needed to keep projects up to date

  • Ability to work in a team environment, and independently, including taking direction and constructive feedback from team members, as well as providing feedback to other team members.

  • Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary.

  • Minimize non-productive time and fill slow periods with activities that will enable you to prepare to meet the future needs of internal and external clients.
