Our client, a leading organization in the autonomous mobility sector, is seeking a Data Lead — Data Governance / MDG to join their team. As a Data Lead — Data Governance / MDG, you will be part of the Data Management Department supporting cross-functional teams involved in manufacturing operations and enterprise data initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive communication, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Lead — Data Governance / MDG

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $90-$95/hour+ Benefits

What's the Job?

  • Lead current-state assessment of existing data management processes, tools, workflows, controls, and governance practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive gap analysis between current MDM capabilities and target-state MDG solutions, focusing on workflow, approvals, stewardship, and data quality.
  • Evaluate SAP MDG and comparable platforms to determine fit with business needs and existing SAP landscape.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define and develop a scalable data governance operating model aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Create detailed roadmaps, executive documentation, and strategic recommendations to support phased implementation and continuous improvement.

What's Needed?

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in data management, data governance, or enterprise data roles, with a focus on SAP data processes.
  • Strong understanding of data governance concepts including ownership, stewardship, workflow, approvals, and auditability.
  • Hands-on experience supporting or implementing enterprise MDM/MDG platforms; SAP MDG experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in conducting current-state assessments, gap analyses, and capability evaluations.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
