Full job description

Key Responsibilities
- Applies and monitors mechanical ventilation and is a resource for respiratory care staff and care teams.
- Provides respiratory therapy in critical care, inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings, and is a resource for respiratory care staff and care teams.
- Provides patient care in assigned clinical area, completes associated duties, and is a resource for staff and care teams.
- Communicates with care teams, patients and their family members, and coworkers.
- Participates in professional development, serves as an educational resource for department trainees, and is a clinical resource to care teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy required; graduates of a BS Degree Respiratory Therapy program preferred.
- One to two years as a Respiratory Therapist I is required.
- NICU and PICU experience preferred. NPS, PALS, NRP, and ACLS preferred.
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Licensed by the State of Massachusetts.
Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating day/night shifts, every third weekend.
**This position is eligible for full-time benefits $20,000 sign-on bonus (not eligible for internal candidates and not eligible for former BCH employees who worked here in the past 2 years)
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
